Days/6 Nights Lodging and Meals — $650
Join
us for a fabulous week of flyfishing for trophy Yellowstone brown trout,
great food and fine accommodations at Montana Spirit Guest Lodge from
September 30 through October 6, or October 7 through 13, 2007!
Before
opening Cold Spring Anglers, we spent two or three weeks flyfishing near
West Yellowstone, Montana every Fall.
The fishing was great, the scenery and fall foliage were
incredible, and crowds were nonexistent. Last fall, we returned to the
Montana Spirit Guest Lodge, 26 miles from West Yellowstone for the first
of annual shop trips. The
trip was great, but the big browns hadn't yet moved upriver for the fall
spawn. This year, we've moved
the trip to match the migration.
The lodge is at 6,250 feet elevation, so nights are cold while days are
usually temperate. When it is
clear, the low temperature is around 20 Fahrenheit with afternoon highs
near 70. When is cloudy,
morning lows aren't as cold and afternoon highs are in the 40's to 50's.
It usually snows at least once during that time.
You
can find our more about the lodge at http://goldwest.visitmt.com/listings/15299.htm

fee. Travel insurance to
protect you in case of illness or accident that prevents you from
traveling, is available through AAA, Frontiers International, and others.

Montana Spirit
Guest Lodge is located on
the right on the Madison River just downstream of Quake Lake.
Ten lucky anglers can join us each week for the amazing price of
$650.00 per person, double occupancy.
This price includes food and lodging from dinner on Sunday, through
breakfast the following Saturday. David
Magistrelli, the owner, will be there and available to acompany you at
least one day of your stay. Herb
and I are going to try to spend more time with guests and less in the
kitchen this year, too.
Nature
surrounds us as we share the area with elk, antelopes, mule deer, big horn
sheep, grizzlies, coyotes, wolfs, black bears and eagles. It is not
unusual to see these animals during your stay. Often you can see
mountain sheep graze on the hill side across the river, a wolf on the
trail up to Sheep Lake, or to gaze on eagles flying up the river while we
eat supper.
