| Yellow Breeches Creek Special-Regulation Area - December 22 2007 | ||
|
Current Stream Conditions Careful, strong waders can wade almost anywhere in the special-regulation area at stages below 3.0 feet and/or flows below 750 cfs. Hatch Info Midges of various colors hatch year around; trout feed on the adult and larval stages. Sculpins are present everywhere on the Breeches. Cress (sow) bugs and shrimp (scuds) are washed from Children's Lake in Boiling Springs into the run that connects the lake to the main Yellow Breeches. They are less abundant in the main stream. Crayfish live where rocks and gravel are exposed on the stream bottom. Big browns love them! |
